OutdoorFreelancer.co.uk User Information - Welcome to the user guide for the OutdoorFreelancers website.
The site is intended to provide freelance outdoor instructors and outdoor jobseekers with a low cost way of promoting themselves and developing an online CV which is readily available to potential employers. The site will also be useful to instructors wishing to have an online CV when seeking full time or seasonal posts and may also help new instructors to gain log book hours.
The site has been developed with the assistance and guidance of both employers and instructors who already use our main site www.bluedome.co.uk. The payment system is secure and the site is designed to allow you to promote yourself without publishing any personal data such as phone numbers or email addresses.
The site has already met with approval from many of the companies and organisations that use the BlueDome job pages to recruit staff and many of them will accept your OutdoorFreelancers web site entry as your CV for fast track job applications
The cost to become a user is £25.00 per annum which equates to a little over 8p per day.
After completing the first log in screen and then making your payment via PayPal you will receive your password and log in details. These are unique to you so look after them.
At present we do not publish any of the information seen on this screen however as the site expands instructors may wish to publish contact telephone numbers and mobile phone numbers.

This page allows you to select for publication the broad areas of instruction that you participate in. The wide search facility will use these selections to assist anyone searching the site.

This page allows you to select for publication the detailed qualifications and work skills that you hold. This will allow anyone searching for instructors with particular skill sets to be selected.

This page allows you to select for publication the broad geographical regions that you work in or are prepared to travel to. This will allow anyone searching for instructors in a particular district or region to be selected.

The reason the selections for age and sex to be included was at the request of centres who wanted to be able to select instructors by those criteria. Centres may often wish to employ an instructor of a particular sex for single sex groups and age constraints may apply to different groups of people.
Your picture is more important than we thought! Many centres are keen to see what you look like before they contact you for work. Try to use a good picture, people buy with their eyes.
The text box marked 'More information about yourself' allows you to copy in a large text file and we expect you to place your full CV here if you want it to be seen.

There you go, you are now included in the OutdoorFreelancers website. The software creates a display page as seen here, the page is available to search engines and if you look at the graphice below you will see that it creates a unique URL (see the next section) which gives you a web address you can give to prospective employers so they can view your details and contact you.
You can log on to OutdoorFreelancers.co.uk at any time to amend or update your information.

We do not publish you email address for very good reasons, if you get SPAM you will already know. Anyone wishing to contact you uses the 'Contact me' button at the foot of your webpage which provides them with a pop up email box which will be forwarded to your nominated email address.
We are registered under the current UK Data Protection Legislation and we DO NOT give your details to any third party.
